Convinced he's not wanted by his Aunt Olive and Uncle Daniel, Toby runs away with Mrs. Jones' traveling circus. He's hired on by Mr. Job, but Toby soon has second thoughts. Not only is the work awfully hard, but Job and the gypsy fortune-teller are planning mischief that will cost Mrs. Jones the circus. When the ringmaster has an accident, Toby is quickly trained to take his place and becomes a stellar attraction. He traps the villains in a spectacular finale and saves the circus! When Aunt Olive finally discovers his whereabouts, Toby realizes he's needed after all.
